Algo 1204 Industrial Volume Control for Algo IP Speakers

The Algo 1204 Volume Control is an industrial ten-position rotary control for select Algo SIP speakers (see below list) and the 8301 IP Paging Adapter.  Installed in a single gang electrical box, the Algo 1204 offers convenient wall mount adjustment of volume including muting.

The 1204 volume control connects to the relay input of the following Algo SIP endpoints only; Algo 8180G2 (not 8180), 8186, 8188, 8189, 8190, 8196, 8198, or 8301. older discontinued Algo 8180 (replaced by 8180 G2). Audio such as voice announcements, alert tones and music can be controlled without the need to access the web interface of the SIP endpoint.

The rotary control can be set to one of ten positions, including 1 (mute) and 10 (maximum) for volume. Only volume of the connected endpoint is controlled by the 1204. The 1204 Volume Control is fully supervised for disconnect or wiring faults. The relay input of the Algo endpoint has the ability to measure external impedance, allowing for supervision and the detection of states well beyond an open or closed switch.

The 1204 Volume Control is ideal for conference or meeting rooms, school classroom, office or wherever audio control and muting is required. Read installation manual carefully prior to installation.

The installer should be familiar with low voltage electrical wiring and installation, configuration and programming of Voice over IP devices via web-based graphical user interface or provisioning.
