Algo 8189 PoE SIP Speaker for Paging, Notification & Music

The Algo 8189 is a PoE Wideband Voice over IP speaker with built in amplifier designed for background music, voice paging, and notification alerting (e.g. safety, security, emergency events, OSHA, etc.). This endpoint registers as a third party SIP device (similar to an IP telephone) into a hosted or premise UC environment. The 8189 speaker is suited for indoor installation in schools, hospitals, offices, retail, etc. where multiple methods of VoIP communication are required.

The Algo 8189's shallow depth allows mounting to wallboard, a stud, or other suitable surface with limited protrusion.

The Algo 8189 supports RTP multicast and works with Polycom Group Page and Syn-Apps SA-Announce. Any number and combination of Algo IP speakers, paging adapters and strobes can be used with multicast for more comprehensive large scale enterprise or campus deployments. The Algo 8189 is similar to the Algo 8188 / 8188B and supports full zoning capabilities. Talkback is supported (2-way communication), plus ambient noise monitoring provides automatic volume control of the speaker based on background noise levels. The Algo 8189 measures 12x12x4.25 inches and can be surface mounted to the ceiling or wall.

Requires Power over Ethernet. If PoE is not available, use PoE Injector. Does not support direct power connection - PoE Only. A basic understanding of computer networking and Voice over IP experience is highly recommended.
